An additional 25p for every £1 donated
Did you know that if you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim an additional 25p for every £1 you donate – at no extra cost to you?
The Inland Revenue allows us to claim back income tax on cash and cheque donations from UK taxpayers.
We can only claim this extra 25% if you provide your name and address, including postcode, and confirm that you wish us to do this on your behalf.
To allow us to claim this extra cash and make an even bigger difference to our staff patients ad visitors, download and fill in our Gift Aid form and return this with your donation.

Leave a gift in your will
You can make a lasting difference to the care we provide to our patients now and in the future by leaving a gift in your will. The process using our charitable status (our registered charity number is 1086145) is simple and straightforward and could also mean your loved ones pay a reduced amount of inheritance tax.

Donate in memory
Donating in memory of a loved one who has passed away is a way of paying a special tribute to that person at the same time as helping our very worthy cause.
There are a number of ways you could make a donation in memory, such as:
- Make a donation in their name through our charity office. If you would like to present a cheque in memory of a loved one to a specific ward where they were cared for, please contact us by phone on 0191 445 3561 or by email at [email protected] to arrange this.
- Hold a collection at your loved one’s funeral or memorial ceremony. Asking friends and family to make a donation in lieu of flowers is a wonderful gesture. If you would like a collection box, please contact us on 0191 445 3561.
- Do your own fundraising or take part in an event or challenge. We will help you every step of the way if you decide to do this for us and this is a great way to celebrate the life and memory of someone close to you.
You can also make your donation online through our JustGiving page.
