Our specialist Gynae-oncology ward is based within the Peter Smith Surgery Centre, a beautifully-designed building which aims to give patients the same care experience you would expect from a five-star hotel.
Each patient has their own room with en-suite facilities, and we believe this relaxed, individual atmosphere is vital in aiding your recovery from surgery.
We care for women from across the region and our aim is to deliver the highest standard of individualised holistic care for ladies and their families/loved ones both pre- and post-operatively.
Each of us strives to ensure our care is delivered in a safe, clean friendly environment.
We, on our gynae-oncology ward, have successful and established professional relationships with a network of colleagues across the region, to ensure seamless care from admission through to discharge and beyond.
We are home to an experienced team of nurses all of whom come with an array of valuable skills, qualities and masses of compassion for each of the patients we meet and care for. We take pride in everything that we do, working hard to deliver the best possible care for the best possible outcomes for our patients at all times, through each part of their journey.
As well as caring for patients on the surgical pathway, we work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide support for ladies needing some optimisation prior to surgery, or supporting patient with control of their symptoms.
