Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) aims to aid the flow of patients through the hospital and treat conditions safely and efficiently on the same day to avoid admission.
Patients may be directed to SDEC through a variety of routes; GP referral, referral following an outpatient clinic or streamed from A&E. Some patients may require subsequent visits to SDEC to complete treatment.
SDEC is located on level 3 of the Emergency Care Centre at the QE Hospital.
