About the service
The Locality teams provide for housebound patients requiring planned nursing care, e.g., post-surgical dressings.
The Community Nursing team works across Gateshead in 5 Localities, providing holistic nursing care to housebound patients. They work closely with GP practices, the Rapid Response Team, the palliative care team, MacMillan Nurses, Therapists, and hospital and inpatient services.
