This global programme is a ‘nursing excellence’ framework aiming to improve the work environment for nurses, midwives and AHPs which will help staff satisfaction and patient experience.
The pathways to excellence accreditation encourages staff to be involved in shared decision-making, influence effective change and be part of a collective leadership.
Deputy Director of nursing, midwifery and quality, Karen Roberts said: “I am delighted to share with you that we are in the process of relaunching our Pathway to Excellence programme.”
“Pathway to Excellence fits beautifully with the organisation’s aspirations to become an outstanding CQC organisation. Now is the time for us to reset and recover our services, not only for our patients but also our staff.”
“We will be stepping up our shared decision-making councils which will inspire staff to build on professional development, give all staff a voice to improve practice and patient safety and also provide staff with training to help create a positive practice environment.”
“I will be out and about with back to floor Friday and would like to listen to your experience over the past year and your inspirations for the future.”
