Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to confirm a new partnership with local business Passion4Fruits, who will sell fresh fruit and veg on-site at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital starting Wednesday 20 September.
Popular at NHS sites throughout the North East, Passion4Fruits will bring their mobile truck and stall on-site every Wednesday between 7.00am and 4.00pm for at least the next six months. Set to be located in the car park opposite the main entrance, the stall will offer some of the finest fruit and veg the region has to offer at outstanding prices.
Local colleagues might already be familiar with the popular brand, which has a shop on Old Durham Road (Low Fell) as well as stalls which can also be found at the likes of the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Freeman Hospital and Jesmond Food Market. More recently, the brand has hit the road thanks to their new mobile truck and stall, delivering services to Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham.
On the launch of the partnership, Interim Executive Director People & OD, Amanda Venner, shared: “We’re delighted to be able to welcome Passion4Fruits to the Gateshead Family. Our people have told us that they want it to be easier to build healthier habits while at work, and an on-site fruit and veg stall can go a long way to helping them in doing that.
“As a local supplier, Passion4Fruits have always been popular amongst our own staff, who have told both ourselves and Passion4Fruits they’d love to see a stall on on-site here at Gateshead. We’re really pleased to have turned that feedback into a reality, and I’m particularly grateful to Rob and the Passion4Fruits team as well as our QE Facilities colleagues for all their help in making that happen.”
