Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of two new non-executive directors, Adam Crampsie and Martin Hedley, who will be joining the Board in July.

Adam Crampsie is a clinician by background.  He has spent 18 years working in healthcare, starting in the NHS before moving into corporate healthcare, then becoming the Commercial and Clinical Development Director of Nuffield Health and now serves as the Chief Executive of Everyturn Mental Health, a charity that delivers specialist mental health services across the North East and England. He is also a Trustee of The Terrence Higgins Trust.

Speaking on his appointment, Adam Crampsie said, “I am thrilled to be joining the Board of Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust and look forward to working collaboratively with the Chair and the Board to make a meaningful difference to the lives of patients and their families.”

Martin Hedley is the Managing Director of Vision Achievement Limited, a company which delivers specialised recruitment, learning and development services, and he has provided strategic support, idea generation and operational challenge to executive board members for over 20 years.  He has extensive experience in transformation and change management, having delivered global change programmes for companies such as Citibank, Chase Manhattan Bank, and American Airlines. He is an experienced NHS Non-Executive Director in his final year at Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust and is also a Governor at Gateshead College.

Martin said, “I’m honoured to be joining Gateshead Health. I am excited to bring my expertise in transformation and change management to the organisation and contribute to its ongoing success.”

Chair of Gateshead Health, Alison Marshall, commented on the appointments, “I am delighted to welcome Adam Crampsie and Martin Hedley as our new non-executive directors. Both of them will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to Gateshead Health, which will be invaluable in ensuring we continue to provide high-quality healthcare services to our patients.

“I would also like to extend my thanks and appreciation to our outgoing non-executive directors, Martin Gannon and Ruth Bonnington, for their dedication and contributions to our organisation.”

The new non-executive directors will work alongside the Chair and the Board to provide strategic guidance and oversight to the organisation.
