Gateshead Health Staff Band and choir bring Christmas carols to the QE hospital

On Friday, 13 December, the Gateshead Staff Band brought festive cheer to the hospital as they were joined by a talented group of choir singers, “Highs and Lows” to perform a selection of traditional Christmas carols.

The musical ensemble moved between two locations within the hospital, spreading the warmth of the season to patients, visitors, and staff alike. Their harmonious blend of string and wind instruments and voices resonated through the halls, creating a heartwarming atmosphere that lifted spirits and brought smiles to all who listened.

From timeless classics like “Silent Night” to upbeat renditions of “Deck the Halls,” the performances captured the true essence of Christmas, uniting everyone in the joy and goodwill of the season.
