Dr Simon Lowes, BSc (Hons) MB BS (Hons) MA PhD FRCR is a consultant breast radiologist and honorary clinical senior lecturer at Newcastle University.
He joined the Trust in February 2017 as a consultant breast radiologist and is keen on ensuring the trust delivers first-class quality of care to patients we serve and is at the forefront of the latest techniques.
Special interests
Dr Lowes has a specialist interest in breast ultrasound, ultrasound-guided breast intervention, clinical research and pre-clinical research. He has research interests in breast cancer and holds an honorary clinical senior lecturership with Newcastle University.
He is Vice Chair of the Trusts Research and Development Council, and treasurer and executive committee member of the British Society of Breast Radiology.
