Miss Christine Ang MBChB MD FRCOG FRCS(Glasg)is a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist and Safecare Lead.
Christine Ang received both her Bachelor and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Glasgow. Following Specialist Registrar training in Leicester, she completed her sub-speciality training in Gynaecological Oncology in Gateshead.
She holds Fellowships of both the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow). She has published numerous papers, review articles and book chapters, presented at both national and international conferences, and is currently Editor for the Cochrane Collaboration.
Chris is the Director of the Royal College of Surgeons ‘Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient’ Course held in Gateshead, and a trainer in both Gynaecological Oncology and Colposcopy. She has worked in surgical camps in Nepal, run surgical and colposcopy workshops, and undertaken opportunistic cervical screening and treatment in surgical camps there.
Her interests include ultra-radical surgery for ovarian cancer and the peri-operative management of high-risk oncological patients.
