NHS staff will be giving the Gateshead community an opportunity to go behind the scenes of their local hospital and are inviting people to the Trust’s public open day to help celebrate the NHS 75th birthday.
Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust’s open day will take place on Saturday 8th July between 11am and 2pm, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The open days will host information stalls run by staff, where visitors can learn all about the amazing work of their local NHS teams. People can meet staff from many different departments including maternity, cancer services, community services and many more – including the hospital’s charity, QE Charitable Funds.
There will be lots of entertainment for all the family, including food and drink stands, face-painting, an ice cream van…and much more!
