Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Gerry Morrow as a Non-Executive Director. Dr Morrow will commence his three-year term on 1 December 2024.
A highly experienced healthcare professional and leader, Dr Morrow brings extensive expertise to the Board. A GP by background, he has served as a Non-Executive Director at North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust for seven years. In addition, Dr Morrow is a medical director and editor at a healthcare technology company. He also contributes to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as an editor for Clinical Knowledge Summaries.
Dr Morrow’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Gateshead Health as the Trust advances its strategic ambition to become the Northern Centre of Excellence for Women’s Health, the diagnostic provider of choice, and an outstanding district general hospital.
